Galen graduated from Whitman College in 2014 and is one of the finest swimmers in school history. He still holds program records in the 500 freestyle, 1000 freestyle and 1650 freestyle and is also the first Whitman men's swimming All-American, an award he earned three times. In addition, he won a total of 12 Northwest Conference titles and was recognized in 2012 as the Northwest Conference's Men's Swimmer of the Year, a first for the Blues during the NCAA Division III era.
