Men's Soccer Upended At George Fox

NEWBERG, Ore. - The Whitman College men's soccer team suffered another big loss on the road, today falling 5-1 at George Fox in Northwest Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The Bruins (10-2-1, 6-2-1 NWC) scored four goals in the first half to highlight the big win, but it were actually the Blues (8-3-2, 5-2-2 NWC) who struck first. Lucas McAllister scored low and inside the right post and Whitman led 1-0 just under six minutes into the game.

George Fox answered almost immediately on Harrison Emmert's goal a little over a minute following the kickoff. The Bruins added another in the 23rd minute before Conner Kong scored a pair of goals in the 36th and 42nd minutes to all but put the game away by halftime.

Niclas Isenee made five saves in a full 90 minutes of action for the Blues. Justin Huttinger started and saw the bulk of the action for George Fox, posting nine saves while allowing the one Whitman goal.

The Blues close the weekend with the fourth of its five straight conference road games. Whitman takes on Pacific on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
