Swimming Swept By Puget Sound

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Whitman College swimming teams returned to Harvey Pool for their final home meets, today falling to Puget Sound in both men's and women's competitions. The men's squad lost (127.5-77.5) with the women's team suffered a 142-62 defeat.

Finn Stukerjurgen and Elliot Yung led the way on the men's side with both winning an event and placing second in two more. Stukerjurgen won the 200 back and finished silver in the 200 IM and 400 medley relay. Yung won the 100 free and placed second in the 400 free and 400 medley relay.

Avery Riley was the top swimmer for the Blues in the women's competition. She won the 200 free and placed second in both the 200 fly and 400 free relay.

The Blues will look to bounce back against Pacific Lutheran on Saturday. Start time is set for 1:00 p.m.
