2012-2013: Finished with eight-round average of 78 … Lowest round score of 77 … Nominated for Junior Outstanding Athlete Award … Studied abroad at University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

2011-2012: Finished with 14-round average of 79.4 … Lowest round score of 73 … Nominated for Sophomore Outstanding Athlete Award.

2010-2011: Finished with 16-round average of 81 … Lowest round score of 74 … Whitman 3-Way Invitational champion … Won the Whitman 3-Way Invitational held at Wildhorse Resort and Casino in Pendleton, Ore.

Prep: Four-year varsity golfer, three-year baseball player.

Personal: Son of John and Lynn Welch … Sister, Cate (18) … Father played golf at Kansas State … Member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity … Member of National Honor Society and men's choir in high school

Extracurricular: Outside of golf, interned at Troon Golf, mentored locally in Walla Walla, tutored college algebra/chemistry, and has been a Trustee in the Whitman Investment Company.

Plans after graduation: Attending medical school.
