Whitman College Athletics

Ian Rees joined the men's soccer team as an assistant coach in 2015. Prior to Whitman, Ian spent five years as the Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Trainer at Hunter College in Manhattan, New York City.

Originally from South Florida, in 2013, Ian was able to join the front office of his hometown club the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers (formerly of the NASL), a second division professional club in the U.S. Soccer Pyramid at the time. 

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Ian has also coached at the high school and youth club levels, and gained international coaching experience when he spent the 2012 season as an Assistant Coach for Delta Force FC of the Jamaican Super League.

Ian holds many soccer qualifications including the United Soccer Coaches National Diploma and Advanced National Goalkeeper Trainers Diploma and the USSF Youth National Coaching Diploma.
