Whitman College Athletics

Evan Kyle Martin, originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, became a W Club board member in 2023 and is a member of the Whitman College 2016 graduating class. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California where he works as a television and film writer by day, while also focusing on his own projects which include animated television, short films and music videos. 

During his time at Whitman, Evan played for the basketball team under coach Eric Bridgeland and congruently dedicated his time to the performing arts, such as the improv team, an a cappella group and theater. His time as a basketball player prepared him for the adversity and rigor of the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, as did his proudest moment at Whitman: creating a stunning documentary with the legendary Prof. Robert Sickels. This moment was the beginning of Evan’s career and a prime example of all the love and opportunity Whitman has to offer.
