Schedule

George Ball Court

Step onto Whitman’s premier varsity court—and into history

George Ball Court is home to Whitman College’s women’s varsity volleyball team and the women’s and men’s varsity basketball teams. The court is named after the late George Ball, longtime Professor of Religion and avid fan of Whitman Athletics. He was an example of the support, spirit and love for the game you’ll find when you step onto the varsity court at the Sherwood Athletic Center and compete against other fierce NCAA Division III teams. On game day, you’ll be inspired by the championship banners surrounding the court as you strive to make your own mark on Whitman Athletics history.
