PORTLAND, Ore. –
Pagan Hetherington accounted for both her team's goals, each coming in the second half, but it came in defeat as the Whitman College women's soccer team fell 3-2 in double overtime at Lewis & Clark Saturday afternoon in Northwest Conference action at Griswold Stadium.

The gamewinner for the Pioneers (5-13-2, 3-12-1 NWC) came in the 101
st minute when Kennie Beighle's cross found an open Caroline Hennes whose shot found the back of the net to give Lewis & Clark the sudden victory win.

The Pios far and away had the most chances on net with a 25-6 shot advantage, 15 coming in the second half.
Allie Seracuse earned the start and played the first half in goal for the Blues (4-14-2, 4-11-1 NWC) but it was
Bryanna Schreiber who played the second half and overtime and was forced to make nine saves on 20 Pioneer shots.

After a scoreless first 45, Hetherington struck first for the Blues less than two minutes into the second half. Gianna Losson scored the first of her two equalizers less than 10 minutes later but Hetherington responded in 65
th minute to regain the lead for the Blues. Losson squared matters in the 81
st minute with her second goal of the day, effectively sending the match into overtime.

Abby Prager made two saves in net for the Pioneers.

The Blues close the season on Sunday at George Fox. Kickoff is slated for 12:00 p.m.
