ESTACADA, Ore. - Whitney Rich took home top individual honors to highlight a strong performance for the men's and women's cross country teams at the L&C Invitational, hosted by Lewis & Clark Saturday at McIver Park.

Rich's top finish (21:33.30) in the 6K helped the women's team to a fourth place finish. Maamoon Saleh ran a 22:22.20 race to help lead the men's squad to seventh place in the 8K just three points behind Whitworth.

For the women's race, Kristen Wanke gave the Blues a second top 10 finish in finishing seventh with a time of 22:48.40. Chloe Michaels (30th, 23:43.50) was the next to cross the finish line, followed by Ella Greenberg (39th, 24:00:00) and Bryn Carlson (47th, 24:04.80) to round out Whitman's top 50.

Southern Oregon won the collegiate competition followed by Lane Community College and Whitman.

Saleh placed 30th on the men's side followed closely by Tucker Grinnan (37th, 23:33.20). Gabe Wasserman and Eli Fournier, working his way back to full strength, placed 48th (26:51.10) and 49th (26:51.20), respectively.

Southern Oregon won on the men's side as well with Puget Sound's Colin Monaghan the top individual finisher.

The meet concludes the regular season for the Blues who now set their sights on the Northwest Conference Championships held Saturday, Nov. 2 in Lakewood, Wash.
