WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Whitman women's basketball team, currently ranked No. 15 nationally, returns to campus this weekend to host its annual Kim Evanger Raney Memorial Classic. The Classic is a celebration of the late Evanger Raney's love for basketball, the former Whitman basketball player who was tragically killed in a cycling accident in March of 2007.

Friday, December 13th @ 6 p.m. - Whitman vs. University of Maine Fort Kent
Saturday, December 14th @ 4 p.m. - University of Maine Fort Kent vs. Whitworth University
Saturday, December 14th @ 6 p.m. - Whitman vs. Buena Vista University
Sunday, December 15th @ 2 p.m. - Buena Vista University vs. Whitworth University
 
Prior to Whitman's game on Friday, a special pregame ceremony will be held to honor senior Makana Stone on becoming the ninth player in program history to record 1,000 career points. The milestone mark was set last month in a win over Whittier College.
 
Ugly Holiday Sweater Night - The first 50 fans to come to Saturday's doubleheader wearing an ugly holiday sweater will receive a holiday treat at the door. All fans in ugly holiday sweater attire are eligible to be part of a fun halftime competition at the Whitman vs. Buena Vista game (6:00 p.m. tipoff) with the winner receiving a Starbucks gift card.
