WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Whitman College men's tennis team had little trouble against Puget Sound today, blanking the Loggers 9-0 in the second of back-to-back Northwest Conference matches Sunday at the Whitman Outdoor Tennis Courts.

The Blues, now undefeated (7-0) in conference and 8-10 overall, cruised through doubles play to take command of the match. The most dominant win came at the three with Eric Lim and Aaron Yuan's 8-1 win over the Logger pair of Graham Byron and Sidney Alwen. The Blues pairs of Andreas Mueller-Immergluck and Alex Huang, and Adam Rapoport and Rajul Chikkalingaiah both won 8-2 at the one and two, respectively.

Whitman clinched the match with a win on the No. 4 singles court. Chikkalingaiah won his second of the day in a 6-0, 6-1 win over Byron. Bear Lee set the stage for the win when he opened with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep on the No. 6 court.

The day closed at first singles where Rapoport beat Riley Inn 6-0, 6-2.

The Blues play their regular season road finale next week with a visit to Whitworth. Match date and time is set for Saturday, Apr. 20 at 2:00 p.m.
