WGCA Release

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Four members of the Whitman College women's golf team have been named to the 18Birdies WGCA All-American Scholar Team. Shiyang Fan, Ally Collier, Kacey Godwin and Vreni Todd all received the prestigious honor, which was announced Monday by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.

A total of 1,097 women's collegiate golfers earned the recognition. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

The Blues had a wildly successful season on the links as well. They won the NWC Championships this past spring but lost out to George Fox on a one-hole tiebreaker for the league's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
