Men's Tennis Falls At George Fox

Box Score NEWBERG, Ore. - The Whitman College men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season, a 7-2 defeat at George Fox in Northwest Conference action on Saturday.

The Bruins swept doubles to jump ahead in the match 3-0 with wins at first and second doubles and a decisive win at the third doubles flight. Andreas Mueller-Immergluck and Jack Freer fell at the one, 8-5, to Will Leach and Luke Lematire, then Bear Lee and John Carter fell at the two as George Fox secured the lead heading to doubles play

In singles, Mueller-Immergluck took Leach to a third set but ultimately fell 2-6, 6-4, 10-8 final. Aidan Shutter was swept by Lemaitre at the two 6-0, 6-0, and Freer fell to Alle Banna 7-6 (2), 6-3 on the No. 4 court.
