NEWBERG, Ore. - The doubles tandem of Kai Strawn and John Carter, as well as singles competitor Harshvardhan Chopra all lost for the Whitman College men's tennis team on Day 3 of the ITA Fall Northwest Regional Championship on Sunday.

Carter and Strawn entered the day's quarterfinals with no small task. The pair took on the top-seeded George Fox duo of Will Leach and Luke Lemaitre. The task proved to be too tall of an order as Carter and Strawn fell 8-2. Leach and Lemaitre will be playing for the doubles title on Monday.

Chopra ended his excellent run in the quarterfinal round. He began the day with a solid 6-3, 6-4 win over George Fox's Ryan Olson to advance to the quarters, but fell in straight sets to Lemaitre who advanced to Monday's semifinals.

The Blues now set their sights on the spring championship season.
