Men's Tennis Falls At Chapman, 7-2

ORANGE, Calif. - The Whitman College men's tennis team continued its spring break trip, coming up short in a 7-2 loss at Chapman on Saturday.

The Blues battled in doubles play but managed just one win. The Whitman pair of Harshvarhan Chopra and Kai Strawn took down Andy Hess and Julien Sanseverino 8-4 on the No. 3 court.

Trailing only by a point heading to singles, Whitman had a shot to get back into the match. The tides did not turn however as losses on the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 courts gave Chapman the win.

Strawn and Chopra were unable to notch their second wins of the day. Strawn fell at the one 6-0, 6-1 to Caleb Wilkins, and Chopra came short to Harry Cohen 6-1, 6-2 at the two. Aaron Yuan lost a tight first set at fourth singles but came up short 7-5, 6-4.

The Blues play their final game of the trip on Sunday with a visit to Caltech. Match time is set for 9:00 a.m.
