FOREST GROVE, Ore. - In a very well-contested game, the Whitman College men's soccer team hoped to scratch out a victory against Pacific, but instead had to settle for a 0-0 draw on Saturday in Northwest Conference action at Hanson Stadium.
Victories are key at this time of year as the Blues (5-6-5, 5-3-4 NWC) strive to remain among the leaders in the conference, but now slip to fourth in the standings. The tie moves Pacific's record to 3-6-6 overall and 3-5-3 in league play.
Bernie Jones and Zach Aderinto were both solid in net for their respective teams with each posting two saves in a clean 90 minute sheet.
With just one game on the weekend, the Blues return to action against Willamette on Saturday, Oct. 28. Kickoff at Hayner Field is set for 2:30 p.m.
