WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Whitman College men's tennis team saw a handful of impressive performances on Day 2 of the ITA Fall Northwest Regional Championship. The day was highlighted by Cameron Yang (singles) and the doubles teams of Harshvardhan Chopra and Lucas Huang, and Artem Manov and Charles Rush all advancing to the semifinals.

Yang earned a spot in Sunday morning's semifinal after a hard-fought quarterfinal win over Blues teammate Luca Viarengo. Yang rallied from a set down to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. Both had advanced to play each other after straight set wins in their second-round morning matches.

The doubles main draw will feature two Whitman tandems in the semifinals. On the top half of the bracket, Manov and Rush cruised through the early rounds before winning in a tiebreak 8-7 (7) in their quarterfinal match versus George Fox. Chopra and Huang have been solid throughout, blanking their opponent in this morning's round of 16 before dispatching George Fox 8-3.

The Championships conclude on Sunday with the crowning of singles and doubles champions.
