MOORPARK, Calif. - The Whitman College men's and women's golf teams traveled south to take on the field at the CLU Kingsman and Regal Invitationals, both hosted by Cal Lu. The men's squad placed ninth with the women's team coming 10th in their respective two-day Inviationals.

Mason Remington led the Blues in the men's competition. He cracked the top 10 after finishing in a tie for 9th place, carding a 74 on both days to finish at four over par 148.

Eshan Singh finished in a tie for 29th but jumped up the leaderboard on Day 2 after carding four strokes better to finish at 10 over 154. Down the leaderboard competing for the Blues were Alexander Knox (155, +11) and Ben Sweet (161, +17).

Samantha Torres was the top scorer for the Blues on the women's side, shooting a 12 over 156 to finish 13th in the final individual standings. 

Beatrice Archer placed in a tie for 28th but moved up the leaderboard dramatically after firing 14 strokes better on Day 2 to finish 20 over par 164. Down the leaderboard were Katya Kurkoski (173, +29) and Pavita Sidhu (176, +32).

The men's squad is next in action at the Willamette Cup set for this Saturday and Sunday. Both teams will compete in the NWC Spring Classic in April.
