Women's Soccer Draws At George Fox

NEWBERG, Ore - The Whitman College women's soccer team battled George Fox to a 0-0 draw in Northwest Conference play on Sunday afternoon at the Austin Sports Complex, earning their fourth tie of the league season but remaining undefeated in NWC competition.

Despite Whitman's attacking pressure and a commanding 20-2 edge in total shots, the Blues were repeatedly thwarted by George Fox goalkeeper Marisa Lam, who finished with an impressive 14 saves.

Whitman controlled play through both halves, generating seven corner kicks and forcing Lam into several acrobatic stops as they searched for a decisive goal.

The Blues' defensive unit maintained their form, holding George Fox without a single shot in the first half and conceding just two in the second. Eleanor Johnson started in goal and shared the clean sheet with Seanee Still, combining for a total of one save as the Whitman backline limited the Bruins' opportunities throughout the match.

With the tie, Whitman's conference record moves to 2-0-4 (3-1-6 overall), underscoring the squad's resilience and consistency. The match marks their fourth draw in Northwest Conference action—each time preserving the team's unbeaten status within league play.

The Blues now return home for a pair NWC games next weekend against Pacific Lutheran and Puget Sound.
