Baker, Martin, Ferenz Garner Regional And National Honors

D3hoops.com and the WBCA both announced All-Region and All-American honors with Korin Baker, Carly Martin and coach Michelle Ferenz all receiving recognition.

On the D3hoops.com side, Baker was named to the all-region first team and Carly Martin garnered a second-team selection. Baker is coming off a season where she became the program's all-time leading scorer and was named the Northwest Conference Player of the Year for the third time.

Martin, also a first team all-conference selection, was a force to be reckoned with on the perimeter both offensively and defensively. She ranked second only to Baker in the league in points per game (17.1) and second in three-point field goals per game and became Whitman's latest 1,000-point scorer.

Both Baker and Martin are eligible for D3hoops.com All-America selections.

Baker was also selected to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-America team where she garnered honorable mention honors.

Ferenz, after guiding the Blues to a perfect NWC season and being named NWC Coach of the Year, was listed as a finalist for WBCA Coach of the Year.
