Men's Tennis Tops Linfield, Falls At LCSC

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Whitman College men's tennis team completed a busy weekend with a pair of split squad matches on Sunday. The Blues opened with a dominant 7-0 Northwest Conference win over Linfield and fell at Lewis-Clark State College by the same score.

The Blues (5-3, 5-0 NWC) remained unblemished in conference play with their dominant win over the Wildcats. 

Doubles play did come down to Whitman's victory on the No. 1 court however. Cameron Yang and Lucas Huang won at the three 6-4 to tie the score, then Whitman's top pair of Alexander Stage and Noah Baker took down Lerfald and Stone 7-5 in a tight match to earn the doubles point.

Whitman cruised in singles play with Stage clinching the victory on the No. 1 court

LCSC 7 Whitman 0 (Lewiston, Idaho)
Whitman had its hands full with LCSC and failed to pick up a point. Each doubles team fell by the same score of 6-2 as the Warriors captured the doubles point.

The Blues were swept in singles play but Hanri Luo pushed his opponent to the brink. He won the opening set before falling to Giacomo Moreira 5-7, 6-0, 10-7.

Whitman continues conference play next weekend with matches at Puget Sound and Lewis & Clark.
