Men's Tennis Tops UPS, Remains Unbeaten In NWC Play

Box Score TACOMA, Wash. - The perfect league season continued as the Whitman College men's tennis team took down the University of Puget Sound 7-0 in Northwest Conference action on Saturday.

The win for the Blues (6-3, 6-0 NWC) keeps them as the league's lone unbeaten team ahead of one-loss Lewis & Clark and George Fox. Whitman and Lewis & Clark will square off on Sunday in what may prove to be a pivotal matchup by season's end.

\The usual suspects brought their A-game as the Blues cruised in doubles then in singles to capture the win. Cameron Yang and Lucas Huang kicked things off with their 6-3 doubles win at the three, then Alexander Stage and Noah Baker clinched the doubles point at the one, also by a 6-3 score.

In singles play, Huang and Yang swept their matches before Alejandro Raffo clinched the win with his 6-2, 6-2 win on the No. 5 court.

The battle for conference supremacy on Sunday gets underway at 11:00 a.m.
