Robin Browning grew up in Bozeman, Montana. She loves everything outdoors, especially slaloming, hiking, skiing deep powder and surfing. She fell in love with the sport of volleyball as a junior in high school, and hasn’t stopped playing or coaching since then. She loves learning and growing as an individual and as a coach, and always challenges her players to do the same.
Robin played in a developing college program, and began coaching at a private high school right after she graduated from college. She played in power leagues, sand leagues, coached club teams, and after moving to Walla Walla, took over the program at Walla Walla Valley Academy. She changed the program to reflect her work ethic, competitive spirit, and desire for all female athletes to have the opportunity to play and perform at their highest potential on and off the court. Her teams qualified for the Washington State Tournament, all years that she was the head coach, and in 5 years, she led her team to play in the State Championship.
Robin is excited to join the coaching staff at Whitman College and looks forward to sharing her passion for life and volleyball with athletes at the university level.
