WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Whitman Colleges men's team rolled through back-to-back Northwest Conference victories Friday at the Whitman Tennis Courts, winning a 7-2 decision against Lewis & Clark College in an early-afternoon match before pounding out a 9-0 win over visiting Linfield College in a late-afternoon contest.
The pair of wins improves 15th-ranked Whitman's league-leading record to 7-0 while elevating its overall mark to 13-5. Lewis & Clark slips to 5-3 in the league and 6-6 overall while Linfield finishes the day at 1-6 in the NWC and 1-8 overall.

Jeff Northam some changes within his lineup as most of the singles players slid up a spot or two.,
Robert Carter finished off Linfield's Ben McNair quickly, 6-0 and 6-1, at No. 1 singles after teaming with
Jake Hoeger at 1-doubles for an 8-2 triumph over the Wildcats' Lukas Kleinman and Kelsey Rosborough.
Adam Rapoport teamed with
Alex Noyes in doubles at the No. 2 spot for an 8-2 win before each swept to singles victories. Rapoport downed Rosborough, 6-4 and 6-4, at No. 2 and Noyes defeated Kleinman, 6-1 and 6-3, at 3-singles.
At No. 4 singles the Missionaries picked up a win from
Trevor Fennessy (1-1) who chalked up his first singles win of the season with a straight-set win over Micah Roos.
In the early match against L&C a 2-1 advantage after doubles turned into a five-point victory after the singles matches played out.
Peter Jivkov and Carter teamed up for a win at 2-doubles then the duo separated and recorded one more point each with singles victories.
Also a part of two points for the Missionaries was
Phillip Locklear who won at No. 3 singles after teaming with Hoeger for a victory at 3-doubles.
The M's are back in action Tuesday evening under the lights at the Whitman Courts where they'll take on Whitworth University in a conference match that starts at 5 p.m.
