PORTLAND, Ore.
- Andrea Gu dominated at one doubles and one singles, Mary Hill did the same as Gu's partner and at No. 2 singles to lift the No. 27 Whitman College women's tennis team to a dominant 6-3 win over No. 40 Lewis & Clark in Northwest Conference action on Sunday.

Hill and Gu finished one-two in the top two singles flights for the first two finishes in singles play. The wins put the Blues (2-1, 1-0 NWC) ahead 4-1 after starting the morning with a pair of doubles wins. Lori Sheng and Kattie Pak teammed up at the three to blank Riley Hanks and Caroline Hennes, 8-0. Gu and Hill finished doubles play with an 8-1 win over Madelyn Landerfelt and Natalie Kowal, putting their team up 2-0.

The Pios stayed in the match with a victory on the No. 2 court to finish doubles play. In a tight match, Rachael Rice and Carla Thomas edged the Whitman tandem of Anastasiya Redkina and Audrey Grigore in a tiebreaker 8-7 (7-3).

In singles action, after Hill then Gu swept their matches to put the Blues up 4-1, Sheng delivered the match-clincher on the No. 3 court. She swept Rice 6-2, 6-4 to claim the win for Whitman.
Grigore added a win for the Blues with her victory at fourth singles. In the longest match of the day, she topped Thomas 6-4, 3-6, 12-10.
