WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Saturday's Whitman College women's tennis match vs. Whitworth will be the site of the program's annual SOS fundraiser in addition to being senior Day for Mary Hill and Lori Sheng.

The fundraiser, held at the Whitman Outdoor Tennis Courts during the 12:00 p.m. match, is to showcase and benefit SOS Health Services, a local bilingual health clinic that provides highly needed medical care to people in the Walla Walla region that experience barriers to healthcare, including lack of insurance. 

Started by former Whitman women's tennis athlete and SOS intern Jenna Gilbert over a year ago, and in conjunction with the Whitman SOS student club, the fundraiser includes a half hour kids clinic from 10:30-11:00 a.m.  There will be a raffle for gift cards to local businesses including Maple Counter Cafe, Olive Cafe and the Colville Street Patisserie and a silent auction for private tennis lessons with the Whitman team and coaches as well as local wines. The wine is donated by Seven Hills Winery and Vital Wines. Vital is a local winery run by Whitman tennis alum Ashley Trout whose profits benefit the SOS Clinic.

Be sure to head out to the courts on Saturday and support the cause!  Raffle tickets will be sold all week and the silent auction will occur from 12-3 p.m.
