WALLA WALLA, Wash. - With the regular season behind them, the Whitman College women's tennis team now sets its sights on a trip to Linfield and this weekend's Northwest Conference Women's Tennis Tournament. Whitman enters as the No. 2 seed in the four-team field and will open against No. 3 Lewis & Clark in one of two semifinals on Saturday, Apr. 27.

The Blues closed the regular season at 10-6 overall and 7-1 in the Northwest Conference. Whitman's lone conference loss came this past March, a narrow home defeat to top-seeded Linfield who finished the league season with an unblemished 8-0 record.

The Blues are eying their third straight NWC Tournament title having beating Linfield the past two championship matches. Versus Lewis & Clark, the two teams squared off in Whitman's NWC opener this past February with Whitman winning 6-3.

Start time for Whitman and Lewis & Clark's semifinal match is set for 2:00 p.m.
