WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Whitman College women's tennis team returned to the court but the Blues fell to George Fox 7-2 in Northwest Conference action on Saturday at the Whitman Outdoor Tennis Courts.
 
Whitman quickly fell behind the eight ball with a pair of losses in doubles play. Anastasiya Redkina and Angel Le lost at the one to Sophia Lawrence and Laney Search, 8-6, to go down one point. The Blues found themselves down three after Grace Carter and Irene Tsai's 8-7 (7-2) tiebreak loss on the No. 2 court.
 
Whitman grabbed wins at first and third singles but that would be it. Le swept Lawrence 6-3, 6-0 at the one and Tsai topped Danielle Brown 6-2, 6-1 on the No. 3 court.
 
The Blues return to action next Saturday, Apr. 24 at Pacific Lutheran.
