WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Whitman College women's tennis team served up the season today with the opening day of the ITA Fall Northwest Regional Championships hosted by the Blues on the Whitman College campus.

Day 1 action saw both the qualifying matches for singles and doubles with several Blues advancing to the Saturday's main draw. 

In doubles, the Whitman team of Jules Thompson and Kaylah Tan took down Lewis & Clark's Lauren Smith-Euben/Yenenesh Cohen, 8-6.

In singles action, Telaya Blunt, Julie Longpre and Erica Mock dispatched their competition to advance to the singles main draw. Mock provided the most dominant win, a 6-0, 6-0 win over Arielle Bloom of Lewis & Clark.
