Box Score WHITTIER, Calif. - The No. 40 Whitman College women's tennis team served up its spring break trip in style with a 5-0 win at Whittier on Wednesday afternoon.

In a match played to decision, the Blues swept doubles play, then won at fourth and sixth singles to clinch the win and end the match.

Ilina Jha and Sascha Wells opened with a dominant 8-1 win at third doubles before Whitman's top duo of Teleya Blunt and Arianna Castellanos took down their Poet opponent 8-2, securing the lead coming out of doubles play.

After Jin Yu and Grace Carter teamed up for an 8-4 victory in doubles play to put their team up 3-0, Carter dominated on the No. 6 singles court 6-0, 6-1. Wells provided the match clincher at the four by the same score to seal the win.

Whitman continues its trip on Thursday at Cal Lutheran. Start time is set for 4:00 p.m.
