Men's Golf Cards To Runner Up Finish, Yoo Leads Women's Squad

NORTH PLAINS, Ore. - The Whitman College men's golf team capped a strong showing at the two-day Pacific Invitational, cruising to a runner-up finish while Mason Remington soared to an individual title with a superb performance.

Remington staked his claim as the tournament's standout, firing matching rounds of four under par to finish eight under for the event—four strokes ahead of his closest challenger. His consistency set the pace for the competition and delivered one of the most dominating individual performances of the young season.

The Blues, unwavering in their pursuit, held second place across both days. Their even-par team effort was enough to keep them comfortably in the runner-up slot amid a competitive field, proving their resilience and depth across the lineup.

On the women's side, Whitman saw several athletes compete as independents. Leading the way, Camilla Yoo shaved two strokes off her score in the final round, carding a 15 over par total to tie for sixth on the individual standings. Yoo's steady improvement throughout the tournament was a highlight for the program, hinting at more promise as the season continues.

Whitman's golf teams will look to build on the momentum from the Pacific Invitational as the head into the Northwest Conference Fall Classic, a crucial tournament in determining the overall conference winner this spring.
