Men's Tennis Blanks Pacific In NWC Semifinals

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Whitman College men's tennis team returned to the Northwest Conference final for the second straight season and will seek a little revenge in the championship match.

The top-seeded Blues cruised past Pacific 4-0 in the semifinals and will play George Fox in the title game for the second time in as many seasons. The Blues fell to the Bruins in last season's final at George Fox.

Whitman had little trouble earning the doubles point. Noah Baker and Alexander Stage blanked their opponent on the No. 1 court before Charles Rush and Artem Manov took care of business with a 6-3 win at two doubles.

The Blues sealed the win with three sweeps in singles play. The result was never in doubt and Whitman will now look to reclaim their crown they last won in 2019.

Whitman and George Fox take the court on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
