McManus, Steinberg, Davies Grab All-Conference Track Honors

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Whitman College distance track program capped its spring with a trio of athletes earning spots on the Northwest All-Conference Track & Field Team.

On the men's side, Jack McManus emerged as the headliner, racing his way to a first-team selection in the 10,000 meters. His performances over the course of the season consistently placed him among the conference's best and his second-place finish at the Championships landed him first-team honors. McManus also picked up second-team recognition in the 5,000 meters. Running alongside him for much of the spring, Danny Steinberg added his own name to the all-conference rolls with a second-team honor in the 5,000 meters.

On the women's side, Payton Davies earned second-team all-conference honors in the 10,000 meters, a fitting reward for a season — and career — built on durability and competitive grit. Her performance in the long-distance event at the Championships was a culminating achievement for her stellar career.
