TACOMA, Wash. - Whitman College's women's tennis team on Sunday morning completed an unblemished Northwest Conference slate with a 9-0 win over host University of Puget Sound. The victory extends a regular-season unbeaten streak in league play to 27 for the Missionaries who captured their second consecutive regular-season title with a win Saturday.
Whitman (15-5, 12-0 NWC), ranked 23rd in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association national poll, surrendered just five games in doubles and six in singles action to the host Loggers (2-11, 1-11) Sunday at the UPS Tennis Pavilion.
Allie Wallin completed her day without allowing one game to a UPS opponent. She teamed with
Courtney Lawless at 1-doubles in an 8-0 win, then rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles. Lawless wasn't far behind in dominating Logger foes, finishing off her match over Elizabeth Chao at 1-singles by a 6-0, 6-1 count following her pairing with Wallin in doubles against Chao and Tresa Bild.
The other four players that took to the courts for Whitman Sunday were nearly as perfect as Wallin and Lawless.

Alexandra Sigouin teamed up for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles then both recorded 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles play, Dobrin at No. 2 and Sigouin at No. 5.
The tandem of
