WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Sunday afternoon Whitman College played host to Northwest Conference opponent Pacific University in women's tennis action. The Whits stormed to a 9-0 win over the Boxers and maintaining second place in the conference.

Double went as well as one could expect for Whitman who collected three wins in as many matches.
Hanna Greenberg and
Mary Hill teamed up for a win at number one 8-3. The duo of
Cello Lockwood and
Jenna Dobrin stormed to an 8-3 win at the number two spot, while
Allie Wallin and
Lindsey Brodeck scored an 8-3 win at number three.

During singles action, Dobrin collected a 6-3, 6-2 win at the number one spot, while Hill out played Pacific's Danielle Plooy at number two for a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Wallin secured a 6-1, 6-1 win at number three and
Jenna Gilbert used a strong performance at number four to secure a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Boxer, Kanai Kea.

The final two matches of singles play also went to the Whits as
Jana Klages-Miller battled to a 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 win at number six and
Lori Sheng registered a 6-2, 6-1 dominating win at number five against Marissa Hayashi.

It was a dominating win for Whitman who remains two matches back of Lewis and Clark College in the conference standings.
