In the third-place match Sunday, the Blues'

Greenberg and Gu won their opening match, 8-2, over Laura Roselli and Jae Kelly of LCSC, but were narrowly ousted in the semifinals by the top seeds -- Brianna Thompson and Sieni Peri -- of Portland State by a count of 8-6.
Sheng and Gilbert won their opening match Saturday, 8-1 over LCSC's Laura Diaz and Jen Roux, but were eliminated (8-1) from the main draw by second seeds Kelli Woodman and Kyra Jung of D-I Seattle University. The Whitman pair bounced back in the fifth-place match by defeating Kali McCollister and Audrew Scott of SeattleU, 8-6.
Pak and Redkina had bowed out of the main bracket in its opening round but beat Diaz and Roux, 8-5, before taking ninth place with an 8-3 win over LCSC's Hanna and Sophie Uhlenkott.
Gu and Greenberg each won their opening matches Saturday in the Blue Singles bracket, both earning their victories in straight sets. But Gu was defeated in the quarterfinals by the Blue top seed, Thompson (PS), while Greenberg fell to Zador (PS), the No. 2 seed.
In the Yellow Singles bracket, Gilbert and Sheng won their opening matches but only Sheng was able to advance out of the quarters. Sheng beat Begona Andres (LCSC), 6-3 and 7-5, but then had to withdraw from the semifinals with an injury.
