BOULDER CITY, Nev. - After making the cut after yesterday's second round, the Whitman College men's golf team took to the links against the nation's elite as one of the top 18 teams remaining in round three of the NCAA National Championship on Thursday at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.

Round three saw the Blues fall two places to 17th after shooting an eight over on the day and now 18 over par for the tournament which is now three rounds and 64 holes deep.

Alexander Knox continued his solid tournament, improving each day and firing a two under par 70 which now places him in a tie for 21st on the individual leaderboard.

Back of Knox on the leaderboard were Ben Sweet who shot an even par the first two rounds and one over on Thursday, Mason Remington (+6, 222), Jack Garnsey (+14, 230) and Eshan Singh (+18, 234).

The Blues head into the fourth and final round of the Championship on Thursday looking to move up spots on the team and individual leaderboards.
