Women's Golf Concludes UC Santa Cruz Invite

PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. - In the team's final tune up ahead of the NWC Spring Classic, the Whitman College women's golf team concluded the UC Santa Cruz Invite with an eighth-place finish. The two-day event took place at the Pacific Grove Golf Course.

The Blues fell one spot in the standings after Day 1's opening round and concluded the Invite with a team score of 83 over par, 11 stokes better than ninth-place Chapman.

Malaina Sidhu placed just outside the Top 20 on the individual leaderboard. She finished 21st after carding a 16 over par for the tournament.

Camilla Yoo had an excellent Day 2 showing, staying the course as she climbed eight spots to 33rd on the individual leaderboard. She carded 11 over on both days.

Both the men's and women's teams will hit the links next Sunday and Monday when they host the NWC Spring Classic at the Wine Valley Golf Course in Walla Walla.
