Whitman 21 Principia 4
The opener saw an offensive explosion by the Blues (6-3) who won their sixth straight home opener. The 21 runs was the most scored by Whitman since they put up 25 runs on Willamette in 2022.

Halen Otte had a performance for the ages. He belted three homeruns, the last a grand slam in the eighth inning to put the game completely to bed. He finished with a final stat line of three hits, five runs and seven RBI.

Brandon Ting also had a big game at the plate, batting 2-3 with three runs and three RBI including a two run homer just before Otte went yard for the second time. Jack Bickerton posted three hits, three runs and one RBI, and Nathan Wilson and Nate Korahais both added two hits and three runs scored

Wyatt Adams (2-1) had a strong start to the game where he struck out five straight including the side in the second inning. He ran into some trouble in the fourth inning though but still picked up the win, striking out 11 batters in five complete innings.

The Panthers had very little success at the plate outside of Stock's three run homer in the fourth inning.

The Blues set the tone for the blowout with four runs in the first inning and another seven in the third.

The nightcap saw a much closer contest but another win for the Blues to complete the sweep. Ting and Korahais were hot again at the plate for the Blues. Ting batted 3-3 with one run and one RBI, scoring off Nik Greb's two run double in the first inning that helped Whitman go up 4-1.

Korahais had several key plays in the game. He scored to break a 4-4 tie in the fifth inning, then later drove in a run in the eighth to extend the lead to three runs.

Mayo (3-4, 4 RBI) provided the offense for the Panthers. He belted a three-run homer to tie the game in the second inning, a stalemate that continued into the fifth before Korahais scored to give the Blues a lead they would not relinquish.

Oliver Brown (3-0) tossed a solid six complete innings for the win, his third in three starts. He allowed four runs on six hits with six strikeouts before Carl Moland-Kovash came on and closed the door. He tossed the final three innings, allowing one run on one hit and picking up the save.

The Blues close out their four-game series with Principia on Sunday with a noon doubleheader
