Hein Named NWC Women's Tennis Coach of The Year, Five Others Honored

HILLSBORO, Ore. - John Hein was named Coach of the Year for the second time in three seasons and five others earned postseason honors as the Northwest All-Conference Women's Tennis Team was announced on Thursday by the league office.

Teleya Blunt and Ilina Jha were named to the first team and Nana Vang, Jin Yu and Arianna Castellanos garnered second-team honors.

Blunt and Jha guided the Blues to their NWC title with a combined 17 singles wins. Blunt played all her matches at the one position and Jha boasted a perfect 9-0 record.

Vang, Yu and Castellanos also dazzled in singles play with a combined 24-0 record.

Hein's honor comes after guiding the Blues to their third straight regular season title and was the sixth of his career.
