Top Three Finishes For Blues at NWC Golf Championship

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. - The Whitman College men's and women's golf teams concluded the 2024-25 season, finishing third and second, respectively, at the Northwest Conference Championship which wrapped up on Monday at the Michelbook Country Club.

The Championships also provided the final piece in determining the overall conference winner which saw both Blues squads finish second in the overall standings. Combined with the team stroke totals from the NWC Fall Classic and NWC Spring Classic, the men's team narrowly missed a successful defense of its title in finishing just seven strokes back of NWC Champion Willamette. The Blues women's squad placed a strong second behind George Fox

Following the Championships, a handful of Blues earned NWC All-Conference honors. Mason Remington and Grady Brown were named to the second team on the men's side. Both finished in a tie for eighth with Remington firing a one under par on the final round to move up 16 spots on the leaderboard.

Cindy Luo, Katya Kurkoski and Ellena Jeong were named to the all-conference women's team. Luo earned first team honors after finishing fourth on the overall leaderboard.
