NORTH PLAINS, Ore. - Whitman's men's and women's golf teams delivered a standout weekend at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic, highlighted by a dominant men's championship and a runner-up women's finish at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.

The men's squad left no doubt at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic, rolling to the team title by 13 strokes while finishing 14-under par over two rounds at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.

The Blues posted a 36-hole total of 562, opening with a 16-under 272 before closing with a 2-over 290. Whitman's 14-under performance was well clear of second-place Willamette at 1-over 577, while Whitworth finished third at 12-over 588.

Whitman placed three golfers among the top four individuals, led by Grady Brown who placed second after finishing 6 under par only three strokes back of the title winner. Mason Remington tied for third at 5-under par and Isaac Elaimy tied for fourth at 3-under 141 after carding rounds of 67 and 74.

Whitman's women's team also turned in an impressive performance, finishing second behind perennial Northwest Conference power George Fox.

Camila Yoo led Whitman individually, tying for second at 15-over par, only five back of the title winner. Yoo rebounded from an opening-round 80 with a 79 in the second round to finish at 159.

Katie Jang continued Whitman's strong showing near the top of the leaderboard, placing fourth at 16-over 160. Jang followed a 81 in the opening round with a 79 in the final round to finish one stroke behind the group tied for second.

Whitman returns from the NWC Fall Classic with a men's championship, a women's runner-up finish and multiple golfers positioned among the conference's early individual leaders. Next up for the men's squad is the Golfweek October Classic in Mirimar Beach, Fla. Both the men's and women's teams then conclude fall competition hosting their own Confluence Classic later this month.
