Gracie Maulik had a whale of a game, scoring a game and season-high seven goals to go along with two assists, six groundballs and four caused turnovers to pace the Whitman College women's lacrosse team to a 20-7 win at Pacific in Northwest Conference action on Sunday afternoon.
Madeleine Sherry and Lindsey Pasena-Littlesky both chipped in four goals with Sherry adding a game high six assists for the Blues (7-4, 3-3 NWC) who evened their league record and remained in the hunt for a postseason berth.
Jasmyn Zimmerman, Devyn Davis and Cullen-Musengo all scored a pair of goals to lead the Boxers.
Korin Wheaton and Renn Novak again split time in goal for the Blues, recording a combined nine saves with Wheaton starting and picking up the win.Â
The Blues led by three goals after one period, but took control in the second quarter when they scored six unanswered goals to close the half. The lead continued to balloon in the third quarter when Olivia Banuelos scored with 8:52 remaining to put her team up double digits.
Whitman is back home next weekend with more NWC action against George Fox and Linfield.
