Men's Golf Finishes Fourth At CLU Kingsman Invite

MOORPARK, Calif. - After holding the top spot after Day 1, the Whitman College men's golf team fell three spots on Day 2 and concluded the CLU Kingsmen Invitational with a fourth-place finish.

The Blues shared fourth place with Menlo College and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps who all shot 22 over par as a team. Host Cal Lutheran won the tournament.

Grady Brown delivered an excellent day two performance. He carded a two over par and moved up two spots in the standings, finishing sixth on the individual leaderboard with a one over par for the tournament.

Despite shooting six over on Tuesday, Ben Sweet showcased a solid two-day outing, placing 12th and finishing three over for the tournament.

Down the leaderboard was Eshan Singh who placed 23rd but, like Brown,moved up two spots on the final day and finished seven for the Invitational.

The Blues are next in action this Saturday and Sunday (March 15 & 16) at the Willamette Cup.
