Women's Lacrosse Takes Down Whitworth

SPOKANE, Wash. - Sarah Hawkins scored a career-high four goals, Lindsey Pasena-Littlesky added three more and the Whitman College women's lacrosse team took down Whitworth 13-8 on Saturday afternoon at the Whitworth Pine Bowl.

Hawkins also had a game-high three assists for the Blues (3-2) who now head to Southern California for a trio of road games. Lola McConaghy and Ellie Milesi both scored two goals with Milesi adding an assist.

Joy Olson-Uderitz provided the defense for the Blues with a game-high five groundballs and a team-high three caused turnovers. Renn Novak posted 10 saves in goal for the Blues.

Campbell Vincent did the heavy lifting for the Pirates in scoring a game-high four goals. Kenzie Hemman scored two more and Megan Whitman added one goal and one assist.

Whitman's dominant second quarter proved to be the difference as the Blues outscored the Bucs 5-0. Whitman entered the period trailing by two, but Hawkins netted her team's first three goals to put them ahead for good.

The Blues next face Whittier on Monday, March 17 at 6:00 p.m.
